“Perfect for God-loving moms of littles.”

On page 0 of this book (I say page zero because when you turn the page you are on page 1), Lacy shares the Author’s Thoughts. A phrase on this page jumped out to me and brought tears to my eyes: “We wanted to encourage those who experience mourning for the life they thought they would have.” Recently I have, in my own walk with God, wrestled through ‘What I Thought Life Would Be’ and come to accept that surrendering to Jesus doesn’t just mean accepting His gift of salvation. It means surrendering every part of your heart to Him, including your expectations, circumstances, and future. That, essentially, is what this book is about. Real stories from a real wife and mom about walking with Jesus through the mess that is life and trusting Him to lead the way. I think this devotional is especially great for moms. Children have this way of challenging absolutely everything we think we have under control and figured out. I especially laughed at the stories about THE BOY because I have one of those, too. I had to lay on the altar my dreams of having a quiet nerdy bookworm of a boy and accept with joy the messy loud exasperating one that God gave me. Ultimately He knows best. If you need a little help laying your own dreams and expectations on the altar, check out this devotional. Laugh, cry, and surrender to His path – which is always the right one.m so amazed reading it. I love the stories with the practical application of the Bible verses. It made me tear up. Thank you for sharing your life stories with us…and what a wonderful legacy for your kids.”
